Release Notes

Version 1.4.1 - September 11, 2026​

🔑 API Tokens (New!)​

Give your marketing site — or any other external system — read-only access to your public course and class data, without handing over a login.

What's New:

  • API Tokens Tab - A new tab under Organization Settings for issuing tokens, with a link through to the developer documentation
  • Create a Token - Give it a name and either an expiration date or no expiry at all, then manage, rotate, revoke, reactivate or delete it from the tokens table
  • The Secret Is Shown Once - It appears in its own modal that can only be dismissed by its confirm button, with a copy action and selectable text. It is never recoverable afterwards, only replaced by rotating
  • Rotate - Issues a new secret and stops the old one working immediately, leaving the name, expiration and status untouched
  • Revoke or Delete - Revoking is reversible and the same secret works again on reactivation. Deleting is permanent and reserves the token's name for good. Both spell out the consequence before you confirm
  • Tokens Table - Name, status, last used, expiration and created date, with a status filter that opens on the tokens still authenticating. Last use is shown in plain words ("3 days ago", "Never used"), so unused tokens are easy to spot
  • Expired Tokens - An expired token can't be reactivated until its expiration date is extended, and the menu option says so rather than simply appearing greyed out

Note: An expiration date applies at the end of that day in your own timezone, so a token set to expire on a date is good through the whole of it.

🎟️ Coupons & Gift Certificates​

What Changed:

  • Status filtering has moved from tabs into a status select beside the search field, matching the registration tables
  • Both tables now open on Active rather than All, since expired, deactivated, redeemed and voided records are never removed and accumulate over time

✨ More Improvements​

  • Certificate Signatures, Schedule Templates and API Tokens each now fill their own panel within Organization Settings rather than sitting inset as a card
  • The Create Schedule Template button is now Create Template, and uses the same green create action as the rest of the app

Fixes:

  • Confirm dialogs for destructive actions now show a red confirm button rather than a blue one
  • The version link in the sidebar now opens anchorpointconnect.com in a new tab instead of navigating away from the app

Version 1.4.0 - September 10, 2026​

💳 Payments (New!)​

Taking money is now part of AnchorPoint itself. Payments, refunds, and receipts all live in one place, and cards are processed securely through Stripe.

What's New:

  • Record a Payment - Take a payment against a specific registration or against a student's account
  • Pay by Card - Charge a card already saved to the student's account, or enter a new one. Cards are the accepted payment method going forward
  • Refunds & Corrections - Refund a payment in full or for a partial amount, correct a payment that was entered by hand, or remove one from the ledger entirely
  • Bill To Details - Capture billing details on any payment
  • One Payment History Everywhere - The same payment panel now appears on the registration drawer, the Student page, and in the student's own account. Every row shows how it was paid, its status, any refunds, and notes - with receipt, edit, and delete actions right there
  • Statements - Download a payment statement as a PDF, resend it by email, or export a registration's full payment history to a spreadsheet

What Changed:

  • Payment records are now called statements rather than receipts - look for Download Statement and Resend Payment Statement Email(s)
  • The Deposits export has been renamed Payments
  • Amount fields on payments and refunds use a dedicated currency box, so stray characters and half-typed cents can't sneak in

⚙️ Payment Settings & Card Surcharging (New!)​

What's New:

  • Payment Settings Tab - A new tab under Organization Settings for your Stripe connection: whether you're running in Live or Test mode, and your keys. For your security, the secret key is never displayed again once saved - you only send it when you deliberately replace it
  • Card Surcharging - Turn on a card surcharge for your organization and set the percentage. AnchorPoint handles the rest:
    • The fee is always disclosed before a payment is submitted - on public registration, in the student's payment drawer, and in the admin Create Payment drawer
    • Debit and prepaid cards are never surcharged. If a newly entered card's type isn't known yet, the rule is explained in plain words instead of showing a figure
    • The surcharge always appears as its own line beside the amount - it's never quietly folded into the balance
    • Admins can waive the surcharge on any payment they're recording

🎟️ Coupons (New!)​

Run promotions without doing the math by hand.

What's New:

  • Create a Coupon - Percentage or fixed-amount, limited to specific courses or classes, with a start and end date and a cap on how many times it can be used
  • Coupons Table - See status, how many times each coupon has been used, and how many redemptions are left at a glance
  • Usage Tab - Open any coupon to see every redemption, download the list as a CSV, and watch a usage meter showing how much of the limit remains
  • Duplicate a Coupon - Copy an existing coupon as the starting point for a new one
  • Apply to a Registration - Admins can add a coupon to an individual registration - or take one off - from that registration's payments tab
  • Deactivate Any Time - Switch a coupon off without deleting its history

🎁 Gift Certificates (New!)​

What's New:

  • Issue a Certificate - Sell a gift certificate against a card, then look up its balance and redemption history any time
  • Redeem at Checkout - Certificates can be used as a payment method when taking a payment
  • Quick Stats - See outstanding liability, how many certificates are active, and how many were issued this month
  • Per-Certificate Actions - Resend the certificate email, resend or download the purchase receipt, void the certificate, or jump straight to the recipient's or purchaser's student record
  • Usage Tab - Every redemption is listed and downloadable as a CSV
  • Click-to-Copy Codes - Coupon and gift certificate codes copy with a single click, and each one has its own shareable link

💻 Online & Virtual Classes (New!)​

Classes are now organized by how they're delivered, so in-person scheduling details stop cluttering courses that don't need them.

What's New:

  • Three Tabs on the Classes Page - In-Person, Online, and Virtual, each with its own filters and table
  • Simplified Online & Virtual Tables - These tables show Course/Code, Price, and # Students, with one search box for name or code, and Manage Class and Download Roster actions
  • Online Class View - A tailored page for online classes with its own registrations table showing Name/ID, Result, Certificate, Enrolled On, and Balance, plus pass, fail, and view-student actions
  • Retakes - Once a student's registration has concluded (passed or failed), they can be re-registered for the class
  • LMS Connector Card - A new card on the online Class View page that will show the online coursework connection once connectors are set up under Organization Settings
  • View Class from the Course Drawer - Online courses now have a "View Class" card and menu option linking straight to their class page

📝 Registrations​

What's New:

  • Payment-by-Payment Cancellations - Cancelling a registration now lists every payment made against it. Leave each one alone, refund it in full, or refund a custom amount - each with its own refund method. This replaces the old single blanket refund amount
  • No-Show Handling - Mark a registration as a no-show from the manage drawer. A No Show chip appears in the class and student class tables, and it can still be corrected after the registration is cancelled. No-show doesn't apply to online registrations
  • Overpayment Icon - Registrations paid beyond their balance are flagged with an icon, and the payments tab explains the excess funds more clearly

What Changed:

  • Adjust Tuition now offers three clear choices: a discount, a new price, or a full waive. Any coupon appears as its own line in the breakdown instead of being mixed into the adjustment, and a coupon worth more than the tuition results in $0 rather than a negative amount

🌐 Public Registration​

What's New:

  • Card Payment at Sign-Up - Students pay by card when registering, using a card already on their account or a new one, with any surcharge shown before they submit
  • Combine a Coupon and a Gift Certificate - Both can be used on the same registration. The coupon comes off first, the certificate covers what's left, and any unused certificate balance is shown as remaining
  • No Payment Details When It's Free - If a coupon or certificate covers the full cost, no card information is requested at all
  • Refresher Registrations - A student who has already completed the class sees a note with the date they completed it, and can still sign up for a refresher

🎓 Student Portal​

What's New:

  • Payments in Account Settings - Payment history has moved into Account Settings as its own Payments tab, with a new panel for managing saved cards. Students can see their full payment history across every class
  • Class Type Chips - My Classes, the certificates drawer, and the register tables now show the class type at a glance, and dates and location are hidden for online classes where they don't apply
  • Matching Register Tabs - The Register page now uses the same In-Person / Online / Virtual tabs as the admin Classes page, and a class the student is already registered for links through to their My Classes drawer

What's Gone:

  • The separate Student Payments page has been retired - everything now lives under Account Settings

✨ More Improvements​

  • Drawers Instead of Modals - Creating a course, instructor, location, student, user, or class now opens a side drawer, so your list stays visible while you fill out the form
  • Linkable Tabs - The tab you're on is now remembered in the address bar, so it survives a refresh and can be shared as a link - on Classes, Coupons, Gift Certificates, Exports, Organization Settings, and Account Settings
  • Clearer Browser Tabs - Browser tab titles now name the page and the record you're viewing, alongside your organization
  • Updated Sidebar - Coupons and Gift Certificates now open the new pages, and the version number links to anchorpointconnect.com

Fixes:

  • Typing in a course, class, or student search box no longer clears what you've typed, and your existing selections stay selected as results change
  • A class page that fails to load now shows a helpful message instead of an error screen, and a class that doesn't exist returns a proper "not found" page
  • Corrected pagination on the classes table and the sort order of classes on a course's Classes tab
  • Courses and Locations tables no longer force text into uppercase
  • Amounts such as $19.99 no longer come up a cent short
  • The Student page now refreshes correctly after a payment is added, and the Add Payment drawer no longer opens on its own

Version 1.3.0 - July 14, 2026​

🔔 Class Reminders (New!)​

Never chase down students about upcoming classes again - AnchorPoint can now remind them automatically.

What's New:

  • Reminder Settings - Configure two reminders per class from the new settings drawer on the Class View page, each with its own timing (from 2 weeks down to 1 day before class)
  • Email & Text Delivery - Choose whether each reminder goes out by email, text message, or both
  • Self-Service Defer Link - Optionally include a link in reminders that lets students defer their own registration
  • Reminder Status Cards - See at a glance whether each reminder has been sent or is still scheduled, along with sent and failed counts
  • Per-Registration Status - The class registrations table now shows delivery health for each student's email and text reminders (scheduled, sent, bounced, undeliverable, or no phone on file)
  • Reminder settings are automatically hidden for classes that have already passed or been cancelled

⏸️ Student Self-Service Deferrals (New!)​

Students can now defer themselves - no phone call required.

What's New:

  • Secure Defer Link - Reminder emails include a link students can use to confirm their class details and defer their own registration
  • Automatic Waitlisting - Self-deferred students are removed from the class and added to the waiting list for a future session
  • Student Deferred Badge - Deferrals a student creates themselves are clearly flagged with a badge on the Deferrals page and in the student's own deferrals table

📇 Contact Health Alerts (New!)​

Know right away when a student's contact info needs attention.

What's New:

  • Contact Health Alert - The Student view now warns you when both a student's email and cell phone are failing delivery, so you know reminders and receipts are paused until their details are updated

✨ More Improvements​

  • Friendly Deferral Reasons - Deferral tables now show plain-language reason labels instead of raw codes

Version 1.2.0 - July 3, 2026​

⏸️ Deferrals (New!)​

Life happens. When a student can't continue with their class, you can now pause their registration instead of cancelling it - keeping their payment, their data, and their place for a future class.

What's New:

  • Defer a Registration - Credited payments stay with the school, and you can circle back to re-register the student for a future class later without losing any of their information
  • Deferral Details - Every deferral records the reason it happened, plus an optional expected return date so you know when to follow up
  • New Deferrals Screen - A dedicated view with high-level stats and quick actions to re-register, manage, or cancel any deferral
  • Student-Linked Deferrals - See a student's deferrals right on their page
  • Registration Status Filter - Filter registrations by Active, Deferred, or Cancelled (defaults to Active)
  • Dashboard Insights - Quick Stats now show how many deferrals have happened, alongside a table of the most recent deferrals from the last 30 days

📤 Exports (Redesigned)​

The Exports module has been rebuilt from the ground up for easier navigation and a simpler workflow.

What's New:

  • Streamlined Queue - A cleaner, simpler way to manage your Excel exports
  • Organized Tabs - Separate tabs for starting an export, exports in queue, and exports ready to download
  • Row Preview - When you start an export, see exactly how many rows will be included before it's queued

🧾 Payment Receipts (New!)​

Enrollment details and payment information now arrive as two separate, focused emails - so students always know what they're looking at.

What's New:

  • Separate Emails - Enrollment emails now contain only class information (schedule, instructors, and location). Payment details arrive in their own dedicated receipt email
  • Branded PDF Receipts - Every payment receipt includes a new PDF with full payment history, branded with your school's information
  • Resend & Download - Admins can resend receipt emails or download the full payment receipt PDF at any time

What Changed:

  • Payment history is no longer bundled into enrollment emails

✨ More Improvements​

  • Latest Registrations - The dashboard now highlights students who have recently registered
  • System Alerts - Display informational, warning, or critical messages to your users - for example, a heads-up when the third-party payment system is temporarily down
  • Redesigned Registration Menu - The "More Options" menu for registrations is now organized into categories for faster, easier navigation

Class Page Redesign​

Your class pages just got a major upgrade! Everything you need is now in one place.

What's New:

  • Quick Edit Cards - Update class info, instructors, and location without leaving the page
  • Add Students - New quick-add modal lets you enroll students faster
  • Instructor Management - Add or remove multiple instructors at once from the new Instructor card
  • Location Card - Change your class location and see full location history in one spot
  • Class Visibility - Control whether individual classes show up on your public website (Note: if the course is private, the class will be too)

New Course Drawer​

Courses work differently now - everything happens in a slide-out drawer.

What's New:

  • Course Drawer - Click any course to open a drawer with all course details and actions (no more separate course pages)
  • Certificate Management - Handle all certificate tasks right in the drawer
  • Classes Tab - Quick access to all classes for a course
  • Course Visibility - Set courses to public or private to control what appears on your marketing site

What Changed:

  • Individual course pages removed - everything now managed via the drawer interface
