Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first thing you see after signing in. It gives you a read on how the school is performing over a date range you choose, and surfaces the work that needs attention — recent deferrals and registrations, classes that are about to start or have just finished, and which classes are performing well or badly.

What you see here depends on your role. This page describes the Admin and Super Admin view.

Choosing a Date Range

At the top right of the page is the date scope selector:

OptionWhat It Covers
TodayToday only
Last 7 DaysThe past week
Last 30 DaysThe past month
This MonthThe current calendar month to date
Custom RangeAny start and end date you pick

The date range only changes the four statistics at the top. The tables and charts below have their own fixed windows and don't respond to it.

Performance Statistics

Four cards sit below the greeting, each with a small trend line and a change indicator comparing the selected range to the period before it.

CardWhat It Shows
RevenueMoney taken in over the selected range
New StudentsStudent records created
New RegisterationsEnrollments created
New DeferralsRegistrations deferred

Hover the change indicator on any card to confirm what it's comparing against — it always reads against the previous period of the same length.

On New Deferrals, a decrease is shown in green. Fewer deferrals is a good result, so the colour reflects that rather than the direction of the number.

Dashboard Sections

Six sections follow the statistics. Each one collapses, so you can hide the ones you don't use and keep the page short.

Latest Deferrals

Deferrals created in the last 30 days.

ColumnWhat It Shows
StudentName and student ID
CourseThe course they deferred from. A Student Deferred chip means they deferred themselves.
ReasonMedical, Financial, Scheduling Conflict, Personal, or Other
StatusWhere the deferral currently sits
DeferredWhen it happened
Expected ReturnWhen the student expects to come back, if they said

Clicking a row opens that student's profile. For the full waiting list, see Deferrals.

Latest Registrations

The most recent enrollments, from the last 30 days.

ColumnWhat It Shows
StudentName and student ID
Course / CodeWhat they registered for
City / StateWhere the student is based
BalanceWhat they still owe on this registration
Class Start DateWhen the class begins

Clicking a row opens the student's profile with that registration already open, so you can take payment or check details without hunting for it.

Passed & Upcoming Classes

Classes from two weeks ago through two weeks ahead — the window where most admin work happens.

ColumnWhat It Shows
Course / CodeThe course and class code
DatesClass dates, or Self-paced for online courses
LocationThe site, or Online / Remote, or Not Set
CapacitySeats taken out of total, with a bar. Unlimited when there's no cap
StatusSee the chips below
ActionsA menu button with additional options
Status ChipWhat It Means
CompleteThe class has finished
In ProgressThe class is running now
Starting SoonThe class begins shortly
Low EnrollmentToo few students have signed up
On TrackScheduled and filling normally

The three-dot menu offers the same options as the Classes list — Manage Class, Download Roster, Email Students, Cancel Class, and Delete Class. Clicking a row opens the class page.

Low Enrollment is the one to act on. Spotting it two weeks out still leaves time to promote the class rather than cancel it.

Revenue by Course

A donut chart of revenue by course, showing the top five and grouping everything else into Other. Hover a slice for the amount and its share of the total.

Empty state: "No course revenue in this date range."

High Performing Classes

Classes with the highest combined performance score.

ColumnWhat It Shows
Course / CodeThe course and class code
DatesWhen it ran
LocationWhere it was held
EnrollmentHow full the class was, as a percentage
RevenueWhat it brought in

Low Performing Classes

The same columns, for the classes that need attention, plus a Status column explaining why each one is on the list:

ChipWhat It Means
High CancellationMore than three students cancelled
Low EnrollmentThe class filled to less than 20% of capacity
Low RevenueIt brought in less than expected

Clicking a row in either table opens the class page.

System Alerts

Coloured banners occasionally appear above every page in AnchorPoint. These are notices from your organization or from AnchorPoint itself — planned maintenance, payment processing issues, or anything else worth flagging.

StyleWhat It Means
BlueInformation
YellowA warning worth acting on
RedSomething critical

Some alerts include a button linking to more detail, and some can be dismissed with the × on the right.

Dismissing an alert only affects your own browser. Colleagues will still see it, and it may reappear if you sign in somewhere else.

When Things Are Disabled

What's DisabledWhy
Date range doesn't change a tableThe scope selector only drives the four statistic cards. Each table has its own fixed window.
A section shows nothingThere's no data in that section's window — for example, no deferrals in the last 30 days.
Revenue by Course is emptyNo revenue was recorded in the selected date range.
The × on a system alertOnly appears on alerts your organization marked as dismissible.

Key Relationships

  • Classes: Passed & Upcoming Classes and both performance tables link straight to the class page, with the same action menu as the Classes list.
  • Students: Latest Deferrals and Latest Registrations link to student profiles — Latest Registrations opens the relevant registration directly.
  • Deferrals: The Latest Deferrals section is a 30-day slice of the full Deferrals list.
  • Role: Instructors and students signing in see their own dashboards instead of this one.

Tips & Notes

  • Start your day in Passed & Upcoming Classes. It covers the two weeks either side of today, which is where nearly all admin work sits — chasing enrollment on what's coming and closing out what's finished.
  • Compare like with like. The change indicator measures against the previous period of the same length, so switching between "Last 7 Days" and "This Month" changes what "up 12%" actually means.
  • Collapse what you don't use. Each section folds away, so you can shape the page around how you actually work.
  • Latest Registrations is the fastest route to a balance. Clicking a row opens the registration itself, not just the student, so you're one step from taking payment.
  • Treat Low Performing Classes as a scheduling signal. A repeated Low Enrollment for the same course usually means it's scheduled too often or at the wrong time of year — not that the course is failing.
  • Read system alerts before dismissing them. They're the only place organization-wide notices appear, and dismissing one hides it for good on that browser.
