Registering for a Class
Registering happens in three stages: find a class in the catalog, review its details, then pay and confirm. This page walks through each one.
Browsing Available Classes
Open Register from the sidebar to see every class you can sign up for.
Filtering the List
| Filter | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Class | Narrow to a single course. Leave it on All Classes to see everything. |
| Search Dates | Show only classes running between two dates |
| Search Location | Find classes by location name, city, or state. Press Enter to search. |
By default the list starts from today, so only classes you can still join are shown.
What Each Column Shows
| Column | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Course / Code | The course name and its code |
| Instructors | Who's teaching, or "None" if not yet assigned |
| Dates | The class dates, or Self-paced for online courses |
| Location | The site and city, Online / Remote, or Not Set |
If nothing matches you'll see "No classes available" — widen your dates or clear the location search.
Clicking a class opens its full details page in a new browser tab.
Reviewing a Class
The class page shows everything you need before committing:
- Course Name
- Total Class Cost
- City and Class Location
- Dates
- Schedule — the daily timings. If your school hasn't set one it reads "No Schedule".
On the right, a card headed Want To Join This Class? with a Register button.
If You're Not Signed In
Clicking Register asks you to sign in or create an account first:
- Login to Your Account on the left, if you already have one
- Create an account and register! on the right, with a Create Account button
Either way you're returned to this class's registration afterwards, so you don't lose your place.
Other Things You Might See
| Message | What It Means |
|---|---|
| The class is full, with a phone number and email | Every seat is taken. Call your school to be added to the waiting list. |
| "This class is no longer available for registeration." | The start date has passed. Look for a later session. |
| "You are registered to this class." | You're already signed up — check My Classes. |
Completing Your Registration
Clicking Register takes you to the Class Register page. Your class details are summarised on the right so you can confirm you're in the right place, with a Change Class link if you're not.
Payment Details
Enter your card details — name on card, card number, expiry, security code, and ZIP.
If your card's billing address is different from the one on your account, tick Use different billing address than account details and fill in the Billing Details that appear: Address, Address Two, City, State / Territory, and Postal Code.
Paying a Deposit
If the class allows a deposit, you'll be given a choice:
| Option | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Pay Tuition In Full | Settle the whole cost now |
| Pay Tuition Deposit | Pay the deposit now, with the remainder due at the start of class |
Choosing the deposit shows a note telling you exactly what's left to pay and when.
Discounts and Savings
Two codes can be applied before you pay:
- Coupon code — a promotional discount, either a fixed amount or a percentage
- Gift certificate — applies its value against your total
Enter the code and validate it. If it works, the saving appears in your Order Summary straight away.
Order Summary
| Row | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Class Fee | The class cost before any discount |
| Coupon Code | The discount applied, if you used a coupon |
| Gift Certificate | The value applied, if you used one |
| Total or Deposit | What you're paying now |
A 3% credit card processing fee applies to all transactions.
Terms and Conditions
If your school has a cancellation or payment policy, you'll need to tick "I agree to the terms and conditions." Click the phrase itself to read the full policy before agreeing.
Confirming
Complete the reCAPTCHA and click Register To Class.
The page shows a spinner while your payment is processed — "Please wait while we finalize your registration. This could take a moment." Don't close the tab or press the button twice.
When it's done you'll land on a confirmation page, and your enrollment email follows shortly after.
Free Classes
Some classes cost nothing. On those, the register card says you can register for free and there are no card fields — just complete the reCAPTCHA and click Register.
When Things Are Disabled
| What's Wrong | Why |
|---|---|
| Register To Class won't submit | Something above needs fixing — card details, the terms checkbox, or the reCAPTCHA. |
| "Please enter valid credit card details" | One of the card fields is incomplete or incorrect. |
| "Please agree to the terms of payment and cancellation policy" | You need to tick the terms checkbox before paying. |
| A payment processor error | Card payments are temporarily unavailable. Contact your school to register another way. |
| A class missing from the catalog | It may be private, full, or already started. Only public, upcoming classes are listed. |
| A coupon or gift certificate is rejected | The code may be expired, already used, or not valid for this class. |
Key Relationships
- Courses and classes: A course is the training itself; a class is one scheduled run of it. You register for a class.
- Your account: Registering links the class to your account, so it appears in My Classes straight away.
- Payments: What you pay at checkout shows in your Payments history and against that class.
Tips & Notes
- Filter by location first. For most people the question is "what's near me and when", and the location search answers it in one step.
- Check the Schedule before you book. Some classes run evenings across two weeks; others are five straight days. It's on the class page for a reason.
- A deposit holds your seat. If the option is offered and money is tight, pay the deposit now — just note the balance is due at the start of class.
- Apply codes before you pay. Coupons and gift certificates can't be added afterwards.
- Registering is instant. The class appears in My Classes right away, and your confirmation email follows within a few minutes.
- Full classes still take names. If the class you want is full, call the number on the page — schools keep waiting lists and seats do open up.
